MAG boxes are dedicated IPTV set-top boxes with a simple remote and a classic TV menu. They connect with a portal URL instead of a username and password. This guide covers MAG 322, 324, 424, 524 and the STB Emulator app.
A MAG box identifies itself with its MAC address, a unique code printed on a sticker underneath the box. Your CatchON TV account is linked to that MAC address, and the box connects to our portal URL. There is no username or password to type.
Tip: the portal URL must be typed exactly, including the slash at the end if there is one. One missing character will show a loading screen that never finishes.
STB Emulator makes an Android device behave like a MAG box. It is useful if you are used to the MAG layout.
Check the portal URL for typos and make sure we have linked your MAC address. Then restart the box.
Open Settings, Audio and switch the output to PCM.
