CatchON TV on Android TV, Box & Phone

Android is the easiest platform for CatchON TV. The best players are in the Google Play Store, so there is nothing to sideload. This guide works for Android TV, Google TV, Nvidia Shield, Mi Box, Android boxes, phones and tablets.

Pick Your Player

On a TV or box, TiviMate gives the most television-like experience, with a full grid guide and fast channel changes. On a phone or tablet, IPTV Smarters Pro is easier to use with a touchscreen. Both accept the same CatchON TV login.

Setup on Android TV or a Box

  1. Open the Play StoreFrom the home screen, open Google Play and search for TiviMate or IPTV Smarters Pro.
  2. Install and open the appSelect Install, wait for it to finish, then open it.
  3. Add your loginChoose Add playlist (TiviMate) or Login with Xtream Codes API (Smarters). Enter the server URL, username and password from your welcome email.
  4. Let it loadThe first load downloads channels, movies, series and the TV guide. It takes about a minute.

Setup on an Android Phone or Tablet

  1. Install IPTV Smarters ProSearch for it in Google Play and install it.
  2. Accept the terms and choose a layoutOn first launch, pick the mobile layout.
  3. Sign in with Xtream CodesTap Login with Xtream Codes API, give the profile any name, such as CatchON TV, then paste your username, password and server URL.
  4. Start watchingOpen Live TV, Movies or Series. You can also cast to a Chromecast from the player.

Tip: on phones, long-press each field and paste your login from the email. It avoids the automatic capital letter that phone keyboards add to the first character.

Which Android Devices Work Best?

Any Android TV or Google TV device from the last few years handles HD and 4K streams well. Nvidia Shield, Chromecast with Google TV and recent Mi Box models are particularly smooth. Very cheap unbranded boxes can struggle with 4K sport, so a branded device is worth the small extra cost.
